My approach…

The journey of finding a therapist can be vulnerable. It is tender to entrust another person with your lived experiences, inner world, and the parts of yourself that may have been hidden, dismissed, or misunderstood. I welcome your openness with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the experiences that have shaped who you are.

As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, I believe that many struggles make sense within the context of our lived experiences. My hope is to offer a space where you do not have to minimize what happened to you, justify your needs, or separate yourself from important parts of who you are.

My practice is informed by my past work with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, as well as clients navigating complex trauma and attachment wounds. I have supported individuals healing from harmful relationship dynamics, religious and spiritual trauma, and other experiences that disrupted their sense of safety and belonging. I also support partners and families who are seeking to strengthen communication and deepen connection.

My approach is grounded in a psychodynamic framework and integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, somatic approaches, and anti-carceral values– but, ultimately, our work together is a collaboration that is shaped by your unique needs and experiences.

I see clients in-person in a cozy cottage in Pasadena, California, and virtually throughout the state—with my dog and co-counselor, Bacon, often on my lap.

If you have felt any resonance while reading, I invite you to reach out.

Meet my co-counselor, Bacon, who is on my lap for all virtual sessions. He loves hiking, peanut butter, and snoring during tender conversations.
